Silver Creek Mountain Runs

Race Info
A reimagining of the previous Divide 100 with more single track, more alpine, more views. Set in the end of September to give a last farewell to the high country before the snows take over.

QUALIFYING
To run the 50 mile, you must have run at least one 50k or longer trail race, ideally at altitude, in the last two years (or provide proof of adequate mountain experience). Our goal is not to exclude people by requiring specific qualifying races, only to keep you safe in the mountains. The 50k and half marathon do not have qualifiers.

Capacity for 1.5L Fluids
300 reserve calories
Two Headlamps
Cell Phone (TURNED ON)
Route loaded onto either cell phone or your watch and available offline
Wag Bag (provided by race)
Space blanket or bivvy
One warm lower body layer (shell pants, tights, etc.)

CREW INFO
The 50 mile will be the only race with crew (potentially) available. There will be only ONE CAR allowed for crewed aid stations. Access is more challenging on the front range every year however, and the race will eliminate or restrict crew access for the sake of race viability if needed. Crewing will be allowed at the following aid stations:

Mile 10 (High clearance 4x4 + Hike-in required)—I high-centered my Tacoma on this drive when it was stock. Do not attempt to drive a van or Subaru up there.

SCHEDULE
5 AM: 50 Mile Start (Geneva Creek)
6:30-7:30 AM: Half Marathon Packet Pickup (Georgetown)
7 AM: 50k Start (Empire)
8 AM: Half Marathon Start (Empire)

Packet Pickup
Available on Friday for the 50 mile and 50k, including gear check. Half Marathon will be available on Friday as well as Saturday morning. Locations to be announced closer to event.

Courses

50 Mile (150 runners max)
A point-to-point mountain run from Geneva Creek near Bailey Colorado in the shadow of Mount Bierstadt and finishing in Empire, Colorado. 14,000 feet of elevation gain and 15,200 feet of descent. A high point of 13,200 feet and miles along the Continental Divide Trail. There will be a 16 hour Cut-off.

50 Kilometer (100 runners max)

A lollipop course out of Empire, Colorado featuring singletrack trail and historic mining roads and rail grades in the area. 8500 feet of elevation gain and descent with a high point of 10,900 feet. There will be a 9 hour cut-off.

Half Marathon (100 runners max)

A mountain race in the simplest sense. Go up, turn around, run back down. This runs from Empire, Colorado to Bill Moore Lake on the shoulder of Mount Alice, before descending back to town. 3500 feet of elevation gain and descent with a high point of 11,500 feet. There will be a 4.5 hour cut-off.
